Helpful Tips.
Use all space available including the height. Dismantle items such as tables and beds and outdoor furniture. Pack books flat, & not on splines. White goods including fridges & freezers should be dry and clean before storing, and doors should be secured slightly open. Leave a handful of fresh coffee or baking soda in a sock inside the fridge & dishwasher to keep them smelling fresh. Clean the BBQ. Vacuum food crumbs from lounges. Label all cartons containing fragile items and place towards the top. Drain fuel and oil from all lawnmowers, edgers, and machinery. Motor vehicles should have their battery disconnected. Place frequently used items near the front of the space.
What NOT to Store
Any goods that are illegal, stolen, inflammable, explosive, corrosive, environmentally harmful, hazardous, perishable, or that are a risk to property of any person. e.g. LPG Gas, chlorine, acid, paint, fertilizer, petrol, diesel, kerosene, aerosols, tobacco & cigarettes, alcohol, wine or beer.
